$1,850

Here is a splendid moth or butterfly made from rose gold and gems. There are 24 rose cut diamonds set in silver topped gold. Also 8 rubies, 4 sapphires, and 4 pearls. It is unmarked, but tests 10kt. It weighs a solid 14.2g, and measures 1-3/4” x 1-1/4”. There is a decorative loop just above the eyes which would allow a chain for converting it to a necklace. It shows signs of having been repaired where the center of the pin stem assembly attaches to the brooch, but is in excellent condition, and ...click for details

Here is a sweet little Victorian pin with the cross, anchor, and heart, symbols of faith, hope and charity. I believe it is made from a layer of gold on top of a layer of copper. The center of the heart is set with a (faux?) seed pearl, and the cross is set with 11 tiny turquoise-colored cabs – they are so tiny that I can’t tell if they are real or not. It measures 1-3/16 x 7/8". The gold is worn down here and there, and it has a nice age patina, but overall in quite good condition, and ver ...click for details

CLEARANCE SALE: $385

A very pretty ring, in excellent condition. The subtly-colored (cultured?) pearls are in tones of gray, and a kind of grayed out brown, as best as I can judge. The accent diamonds include 5 rose cuts, which are very nicely cut as older r.c. diamonds go; and one full cut with rather odd facets – perhaps it is a replacement stone. This is a very sweet, very wearable ring, in a size 6-3/4. I don’t know how to date this one, so I’ll just call it vintage.

This extremely lovely and romantic lady is made from a very mellow yellow gold, with blue, pink, and green plique a jour enamel, and an accent diamond in her hair. The tendrils of her hair whiplash into ginko leaves. She has a little drop pearl, and is marked 14k. She is in excellent condition, and is just SO pretty! I’m not sure when she was made, but she’s definitely a reproduction.

This handsome fellow’s head measures 5/8 x 11/16". The gold tests at 14k. His red eye is too small to identify, so assume glass. There are marks, but I can’t read them. It weighs 1.4g or 0.05oz. and is in excellent condition. Circa 1900.

$3,300

This ring, which may be Russian, has a large central rose cut diamond. If it were a round brilliant cut, I’d say it is between ¾ and 1 carat, but there is no formula for estimating rose cuts. It is in excellent condition, it’s quite clean and the color is very good, so I believe it is a replacement stone. It is surrounded by 10 demantoid garnets, which are old. I can see horsetail inclusions in 8 of them, and they vary in color, as is usual in antique Russian jewels. The shank has a 14k mark, an ...click for details
