CLEARANCE SALE - $51.

Here is a very pretty pin depicting 2 calla lilies, and decorated with leaves and whiplashes. The detail is really nice. It is unmarked base metal. The C clasp is a replacement, but the rest of the pin stem assembly is original. It is stamped out, and has a very nice patina, though it might want a very gentle cleaning. 1-3/8 x 1-1/8 at the widest point. Other than the replaced clasp, it is in excellent condition. Circa 1900.

CLEARANCE SALE PRICE: $40

Intriguing gremlin or imp (or even a water sprite, with those gill-like ears), beautifully realized in sterling silver. He looks like he’s contemplating what little bit of evil he’s going to get into next. He measures 11/16 x 5/16", and the total length is 2-1/4". He is in excellent condition, but you might want to clean him up a bit. Note that the pin has an odd bend to it, which I think is intentional. Marked only “84934,” which is probably an inventory number. Hard to pinpoint the a ...click for details

This is an intricate design by Edmond-Henri Becker, well-known French medalist at the turn of the last century. The front of this piece shows Joan of Arc in profile, also a shield decorated with a sword, a crown, and 2 fleur de lys. Above her head is a banner saying “1429” and “Jehanne d’Arc”. The back shows a banner with a saint (or possibly the Madonna and Child) with two people praying. Also pictured are mistletoe, and the pommel of a sword. Just fascinating. Marks: on the front is Becker’s ...click for details

CLEARANCE SALE: $85

This charming portrait in silver, of a wind-swept person in a cloak and hood, is very detailed and just lovely. I tend to think it’s a boy, as the hair seems to be quite short under the hood. The hood itself almost looks more like a cap made from a flower, as seen on fairies in those Victorian children’s books. It measures 1-1/8” wide, is hollow, and is marked “STERLING TOP GERMAN SILVER BACK”. German silver is a kind of base metal. The back is a bit tarnished, has what looks like little bubbl ...click for details

This striking brooch is just lovely! It has flowers, poppies perhaps, composed of curved flowing lines, mounted on a mother of pearl oval. The flower is silver plate, and is worn in places (I find that the worn places actually serve as highlights). The mother of pearl is convex, giving the piece a dimensional look. The photos don’t do justice to the MOP’s rainbow colors. It measures 1-3/4” x 1-3/8”. The pin assembly is mounted on a base metal plaque, and is of the old style. It rattles a little, ...click for details

This lovely navette-shaped pin from the Arts & Crafts era measures 2-1/8 x 7/16”. It has a leaf and berries design, centered by a pretty deep purple amethyst. It is marked STERLING, and the pin-stem assembly is original. I have not cleaned it (except to get rid of a bit of green verdigris or something), so it has a nice patina and a little bit of tarnish. In excellent condition, and circa 1900.

$285

This is a really nice Arts and Crafts ring, and I’m fairly sure it’s handmade. The 3 moonstones are surrounded by 5 little leaves on creeping vines – very naturalistic. It is approximately size 7-1/4; from north to south it measures just over 1 inch. The moonstones show some signs of wear, as is appropriate to its age, but there are no chips. The marks are illegible, but could be an 8 and a 5 or an S. The ring looks like it’s been resized, and possibly some marks were lost then. The metal shows ...click for details

Here is a sweet sky-blue enamel pendant with blue enamel dropper, on an interesting sterling chain. It tests at 90% - 100%, so is most likely Sterling. It has two shades of light blue enamel on the front, highlighted by silver flourishes and dots, in an elongated design. The dropper is also enameled in shaded hues of blue. The entire thing is also enameled on the back – so lovely! Excluding the bale but including the dropper, it is 1-1/2” long by just under ¾” across. There are two small areas o ...click for details
