Marked "9CT" and WHH for William H Haseler, and probably made to be sold by Liberty & Co, this lovely pin is highlighted by a leaf motif in red and green enamel, on an "entrelac" or interlaced frame of gold, with 3 colorless paste stones. The gold is yellow, though in places it looks rosy. It measures 1-3/8 x ½” and weighs 3.2g. The hinge has an old repair, and one of the stones has been reset. Otherwise in very good antique condition, and circa 1900 (According to V...

This handsome fellow is either a moose or an elk – I can’t tell the difference! His head measures 5/8 x 11/16". The gold tests at 14k. His red eye is too small to identify, so assume glass. There are marks, but I can’t read them. It weighs 1.4g or 0.05oz. and is in excellent condition. Circa 1900. Please read this description and look at the photos very carefully, as we are not responsible for buyer remorse. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

This lovely item is a navette-shaped pin from the Arts & Crafts era. It measures 2-1/4 x 3/8”. It has a leaf and berries design, centered by a blister pearl of an intriguing shape. It is marked STERLING, and the pin-stem assembly is original. I have not cleaned it, so it has a nice patina and a little bit of tarnish. In excellent condition, and circa 1900. Please read this description and look at the photos very carefully, as we are not responsible for buyer remorse...

This classy brooch highlights a large amethyst with a row of seed pearls, surrounded by an enameled key pattern. Marked 14k, and signed by the Riker Bros. of Newark, NJ, it measures 1-3/16” x 13/16” and weighs 8.0g or .28oz. It is in excellent condition, overall, but with a very small ding to the upper left edge, and very tiny pitting in the enamel, which isn’t visible without a loupe...

Here is a lovely pendant enameled primarily in an intense blue, with patches of a much lighter color. The dropper shades from a pale green through a lighter blue into the intense blue of the main part of the jewel. The back is marked sterling silver, and the dropper is marked silver. It measures 1-3/8 x 1-3/16, and is on a new 18” sterling chain. In very good condition overall...

This striking jewel tests as at least 14k. It is set with what I believe is an iolite, and 4 pear-shaped purple garnets, all foiled, all set within an Etruscan Revival motif of coiling decorated gold ropes and leaves. It is graced with two gold dangling chains. The brooch measures 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 3/4" deep and weighs 8.7g/.31oz. With the chains, the whole piece measure 2-1/2” long. The pin stem assembly appears to be all original...

Here is a pretty brush with repousse decorations depicting Art Nouveau lilies on its top, and fancy swirls on the handle. It measures 5-3/4” x 3". It is stamped Sterling, and there are other marks which are illegible. There is a little bit of damage to the silver at the top of the brush, which is shown in - and is actually exaggerated by – the photos. The handle has a plain area on both sides, ready for your monogram. On one side this area has some dings to it...

Here is a pair of earrings which we had made over from a single cuff link, made c. 1920. Recycling/upcycling at its best! My jeweler came up with an ingenious way of creating these earrings – please see the photos. The backing of each (old) peacock glass setting is marked STERLING, and the (new) ear wires are sterling as well. Each cab measures 9/16” x 5/16", and the earrings hang a total of 1-1/2” each...

The mix of metals makes this sash buckle quite unusual in my experience. The silver plate shows some wear - yellow metal shows through at some of the high points. I believe the gold to be about 9kt, and it’s also a plating or overlay. The buckle measures 3 x 2-1/2" and weighs in at 47.5 grams. Unmarked. In overall very good condition, except for the few worn spots already mentioned; the gold might be a little worn in a few places too – it’s difficult to tell because of the texturing. Circa...

Great cuff links by Belais, one of the companies who pioneered in the use of white gold, and so very collectible. They are double sided, with decorated separating links, and each “end” measures 9/16” x1/2". They are marked “White Gold Front Belais 14k”, and “Talon Grip Trade Mark”. They weigh 6.1g or .21oz, and the fronts are in very good condition. A bit of reddish metal – copper? – shows through on the backs, from wear which is consistent with age. Circa 1920. Here is a fascinating ring consisting of strands of gold tied in a kind of knot, and studded with gold balls. The decorated area measures 5/8 x ½” and the shank measures 3/16”. The ring has a maker’s mark (“J.M”), the anchor for Birmingham, the date mark for 1903-4, “9”, and “375”, however it tests as 10k. It’s approximately size 7, and weighs 5.2g or 0.19oz. In places the gold looks yellow, and I’m not sure if that’s intentional or caused by aging, or...? Overall in exc...

This fascinating pendant consists of several elements. The bottom-most is a large (1-7/8”) coin-like pierced disk. On the front it has Chinese(?) writing, and is centered by a circular piece of what looks like art glass. On the back it has the 8 Chinese Bagua or Trigrams for Wind, Water, Thunder, Earth, Wind, Fire, Lake or Marsh, Heaven or Sky, which represent the Taoist fundamental principles of reality. Above that is a hollow piece of carved bone(?). Above that is an Egyptian pharaoh surroun...

This ring is one of our absolute favorites! The central diamond is approximately 20 points (1/5 of a carat), set in platinum. The rest of the setting is made of unmarked 14k gold of a lovely rich yellow. There are 4 tiny rubies and 3 tiny demantoid garnets. It’s very hard to ID the 4th green stone, due the size and setting, but it is mostly likely another demantoid. It’s a size 6, and weighs 2.1g. We believe this ring is from the Edwardian era, circa 1910. Please read this description and l...

This very sparkly stunner has 2 big paste stones (7/16”), 2 smaller ones (1/4”), and 8 small accent stones (there should be 9, but one is missing), set in white metal. The whole thing measures 2” x 9/16”. Stamped “Czechoslov” on the back, it is in overall good condition: the stones have a couple chips, and a little abrasion, but the stones are so sparkly it’s hard to spot these. The clasp is bent over a bit, but still works just fine. We believe it’s circa 1920. Please read this...

This striking pin is composed of 2 beautifully engraved silver circles and an oval intertwined, and set with ovals of agate of various colors. Agates have been used in jewelry going back into antiquity. They were thought to ward against storms and headaches, attract strength, and to affect dreaming. Queen Victoria became enamored of Scotland during her reign, so everything Scottish became popular during that period (except, perhaps, haggis!), especially post 1848 when she bought Balmoral Castle....

This sweet, heavily engraved pin is from the estate of Helen Aman, who escaped from the Bolshevik Revolution to (eventually) settle in California. It was one of her childhood jewels. It consists of a bell (with a clapper – but it doesn’t actually chime) dangling from an angled bar. Marked 84 for 875 silver, it also has a partial city mark, probably for Moscow. It measures 1-3/8” x 7/8", and is in excellent antique condition, with a nice patina. Please read this description and look at th...
