Here is a striking (marked) 9 ct. yellow gold necklace, highlighting 5 blue sapphires in a flower design, centered by a pearl, and hanging freely in a pentangular framework. More seed pearls are set above and below. The whole thing hangs from a smaller diamond-shaped gold frame, which features another sapphire. The 2 elements are connected by an articulated bar, so there is a fair amount of movement to the piece. The whole thing measures 1-7/8” x 11/16", and weighs .16 oz or 4.5 g...

This is a lovely Jungendstil- or Secessionist-type moth watch pin, with plique a jour wings which fade from green to white. So rare … and in excellent condition! The stone is pale blue, and is probably a spinel, but I have been unable to get a clear reading for it. It is marked “sterling,” and measures 1-1/2” x 1”. The pin stem assembly is original, and it appears to have had a safety chain since there is a little loop toward the bottom on the back. Circa 1900.

Here is a splendid moth or butterfly made from rose gold, silver, and gems. There are 24 rose cut diamonds set in silver-topped gold. Also 8 rubies, 4 sapphires, and 4 pearls, set in rose gold. It is unmarked, but the rosy gold tests as 10kt. It weighs a solid 14.2g, and measures 1-3/4” x 1-1/4”. There is a decorative loop just above the eyes which would allow a chain for converting it to a necklace...

This lovely fellow is rare and wonderful. He is enameled in rich tones of blue, green, coral and yellow, and carries a tiny pearl in his beak. The dimensionality of the jewel is so unusual – the bird is about ½ inch deep! (And 1-1/4” tall x 1-1/4” wide.) It is very unusual to see a bird flying straight out; they are nearly always in profile. It is hollow, and the back is marked 900 for silver fineness, and also with the intertwined H and S for Hermann & Speck of Pforzheim, Germany...

This fascinating chain tests at about 9k, so it’s most likely English, and from the late 1800s/early 1900s. Each link has scrollwork and enamel (with some enamel loss – which is not noticeable, due the intricacy of the links), and has an interesting 3D quality. Where the 2 middle links meet is a slightly larger ring which can be used for hanging something that pleases you – a lavalier, or a pearl, perhaps a fob. It is a hair over 14” long, and the links are 5/16” wide. It weighs 10.3g...

Here is a fantastic Art Deco ring, with 3 diamonds set in (marked) platinum, and surrounded by 8 synthetic blue sapphires. The estimated total diamond weight is .45 carats. The size is approximately 6-1/2, and it weighs 4.6 grams or .16 ounces. The filigree work is just lovely, and it is in overall excellent condition.

This fabulous bracelet is a hinged bangle, finely carved with a geometric and wheat sheaf pattern. The front – removable! - plaque is quite dimensional, centered by a blue sapphire surrounded by 8 rose cut diamonds, and measuring 1-5/8” x 1-9/16”. The band of the bracelet is 13/16” wise, and has a clasp with French eagle hallmarks for 18k gold, and another mark that I can’t decipher. It is hinged in 4 places for easier wear. It weighs 43.7 grams or 1.59 ounces...

Here is a lovely Chinese ring in rich yellow 22kt gold. It is set with a bright green navette-shaped piece of jadeite jade. The setting is decorated with flowers and beading. It’s a size 6-3/4, and weighs 7.4g or .26 oz. The stone is 7/8” long and ¼” wide. It is stamped 22k, and with a Chinese mark. Circa the 1920s, and in excellent condition.

Here is a rare and splendid red-eyed dragonfly from Germany. It is sterling silver with a gold wash, marked “STERLING” and “DEPOSE”. There is also a partial maker’s mark, almost certainly for Meyle & Mayer, who were producing enamel jewelry in Germany at the turn of the last century. The plique shades from yellow through turquoise to a dark blue. A few of the central plique panels have some hairline cracks (usual for these lovely old pieces), but very few bubbles (not so usual!)...

This charming lavalier is SO Art Nouveau! It measures 1” x 1/8” not including the oversized jump ring, by 5/8” wide. It is adorned with a lovely amethyst, an accent diamond, and 11 seed pearls. On the back it is stamped 14k, also an M above a W, which is most likely the mark for Martin H. Weidman. It comes with a 20-1/4” modern 14k box chain. The jump ring is slightly out of round, but it is soldered...

Here is a wonderfully detailed branch with leaves of green plique a jour (translucent enamel) and 4 old-cut diamond berries (est. total weight .35 points). It is unmarked, but tests a strong 14k, so it could be 15k. The pin assembly is original, it measures 1” x 1-1/8”, and weighs 5.9g...
