Here is a sweet sky-blue enamel pendant with blue enamel dropper, on an interesting sterling chain. It tests as silver, most likely Sterling. It has two shades of light blue enamel on the front, highlighted by silver flourishes and dots. The dropper is also enameled in shaded hues of blue. The enamel continues on the back in sky blue – so lovely! Excluding the bale but including the dropper, it is 1-1/2” long by just under ¾” across...

Here is an interesting charm, composed of turquoise, malachite, and what I believe is dyed coral and lapis. Because of the way the stones are set, it’s hard to get definitive readings. They are separated by bands of silver, and in a setting marked Sterling. It is Native American, and someone in the know told me that it is a Navajo realization of a Zuni design. It is 1-1/4” in length, including the ring.

This charming portrait in silver, of a wind-swept person in a cloak and hood, is very detailed and just lovely. I tend to think it’s a boy, as the hair seems to be quite short under the hood. The hood itself almost looks more like a cap made from a flower, as seen on fairies in those Victorian children’s books. It measures 1-1/8” wide, is hollow, and is marked “STERLING TOP GERMAN SILVER BACK”. German silver is a kind of base metal...

Here is a lovely surreal-looking lady with lily pads in her hair. She is remarkably similar to a piece made by the Unger Bros., but marked only STERLING – and the stamp is reversed! I believe her to be a copy, but still made around 1900 – this seemed to have happened fairly frequently back in the day. She has the patina of age, a pin stem assembly which is correct for the turn of the last century, and the back of the pin has some scratches. It measures 1" x 1-5/8"...

Here is a really lovely sash buckle, designed for Tiffany by the famous George Shiebler. It is marked “Tiffany & Co,” the winged S for Shiebler, “Sterling,” and “4758.” It is 3” x 2”, with a slight curve to it, and weighs 42.2g/1.49oz. Decorated with flowers and foliate designs, it’s a charmer. (Geo. W. Shiebler & Co. were in business under that name from 1876 until almost 1915.) It came in a Tiffany bag, which may be original to the piece. In excellent condition...

Here is a delightful plique a jour stylized moth, most likely German or Austrian in origin. The body has 4 colorless paste stones, and there is an emerald green paste stone in the tail. The plique shades from green to white to peach. 1-1/2” by ¾”, and stamped “800” on the back. It is in excellent antique condition. Really sweet and circa 1900.

Here is a coral garland necklace consisting of 7 coral drops, of graduated lengths and sizes, and a final drop on a draping chain. Three of the longest drops are on rigid bars. The coral is a lovely deep dark ox-blood red, very hard to capture in photos. The entire chain length is 15-1/4”, and the decorated portion is 4-1/4” x 2-1/8” at the longest point. The chain bears the mark for silver jewels imported into Austro-Hungary between 1901-1922, and I believe the tiny “8” indicates 1908...

This delightful pin is from St. Petersburg, and most likely pre-1898, based on what I can read of the marks. Also marked 84 (for 875 silver), it depicts a sleigh drawn by two horses, with a standing driver and two passengers, all bundled up, and with a lap blanket. The detail is terrific! It measures 2-1/4" x 1", is of hollow construction, and weighs .25 oz/7.2 g...

Here is a signed bracelet by the famous David Andersen Company of Norway. It consists of rectangular panels of cobalt blue guilloche enamel, alternating with square panels of palest green enamel centered by cobalt blue flowers. It is marked “925 S”, “D-A”, “NORWAY STERLING”, and a scale, indicating a jewel made between 1925 and the present. It measures 7-3/4" x 1/2". There are some scratches and teeny tiny chips consistent with age...

Here we have a very pretty Charles Horner enameled pendant. It sports the Horner signature as well as hallmarks for Chester, 1909-10. The enamel is a lovely mix of green and blue in 3 panels, with a blister pearl mounted at the top and a freshwater pearl dangle. It measures 1-5/8” not including the bale, by 1” at the widest point. It is on a modern 18” sterling chain...

This sweet, heavily engraved pin is from the estate of Helen Aman, who escaped from the Bolshevik Revolution to (eventually) settle in California. It was one of her childhood jewels. It consists of a bell (with a clapper) dangling from an angled bar. Marked 84 for 875 silver, it also has a partial city mark, probably for Moscow. It measures 1-3/8” x 7/8", and is in excellent condition.

Here is a lovely pendant enameled primarily in an intense blue, with patches of a much lighter color. The dropper shades from a pale green through a lighter blue into the intense blue of the main part of the jewel. The back is marked sterling silver, and the dropper is marked silver. It measures 1-3/8 x 1-3/16, and is on a new 18” sterling chain. In very good condition overall. The enamel shows a little bit of wear around the edges, and it’s possible that the enamel is chipped at the very ...
