This brooch is an interesting combination of Nouveau and Edwardian styles, and bears a remarkable similarity to a couple pieces by Whiteside & Blank that I’ve seen recently; however it isn’t signed. The pin consists of a framework enameled in palest green, in a formal Edwardian key pattern. Here is a gorgeous pendant/pin with a stylized motif of green to yellow enamel in a floral pattern reminiscent of the French fleur-de-lis. Centered by a small diamond (approx. 5 points), and with a pearl-set modified starburst accenting the enameled “petals.” 14k rose gold, it measures 1” in diameter at the widest point. This handsome fellow is either a moose or an elk – I can’t tell the difference! His head measures 5/8 x 11/16". The gold tests at 14k. His red eye is too small to identify, so assume glass. There are marks, but I can’t read them. It weighs 1.4g or 0.05oz. and is in excellent condition. Circa 1900. Everything about this piece is so pretty! The enamel is lovely, detailed, and subtle. The use of seed pearls and an accent diamond sets off the enamel beautifully. It is both a brooch and a pendant, and the bale is on a swivel; it folds down neatly so that it’s invisible when worn as a brooch. This beautiful pendant has a very Gothic feel to it. It is centered by an amethyst of good color, measuring 9mm x 7mm. (The whole thing measures 1-7/16” x 11/16”) North, south, east and west there are pearl-set trefoils – thus the Gothic feel – plus there is a dangle with a further pearl-set trefoil, and a larger pearl hanging freely beneath. It is unmarked, but tests 10k. It is on a 20” yellow gold-filled chain, marked 1/20-12, but the rest of the mark is cut off...

This lovely and delicate garland necklace features a green enameled heart with orange highlights and seed pearls. Off to the sides are wings set with seed pearls. Above are gold curlicues, and below is a diamond dropper. It’s got a faint 10K mark on the back, but tests as 14K. The spring ring is marked 1/20 14k Gold Filled, but the chain tests for 14k, so I assume the spring ring is a replacement. This gorgeous necklace would have looked great on Rose on the Titanic! It features 13 Madera citrines – 3 clusters of 3 each, and 4 set singly. The central cluster has a pearl dangle. The rose gold is marked 9ct on the clasp, but it tests as a weak 10k. No other marks. Wearable length is 18-3/4”...

This ring is one of my absolute favorites! The central diamond is approximately 20 points (1/5 of a carat), set in platinum. The rest of the setting is made of unmarked 14k gold of a lovely rich yellow. There are 4 tiny rubies and 3 tiny demantoid garnets. This sweet little guy has a quizzical frown on his face, and is just adorable! It is unmarked, but the gold tests at about 12k. The total length is 2-1/8”, and the dog’s face is ½” x 7/16”. It weighs 0.9g. He is most likely a Weimaraner. They were bred as hunting dogs in the early 19th Century in Germany, and were named after the Grand Duke Weimar, Karl August. This sweet and simple ring has 3 citrines across the top. It has complete Swedish markings for 18k gold, for 1912, and the town mark for Malmo. It weighs .06 oz/1.7g, and is a size 5-3/4 plus a bit.
