Here is a splendid Arts & Crafts bar pin. It consists of a leaf and berry motif, highlighted by a central cushion-cut chalcedony cab, with a circular aventurine cab on either side. Measuring 1-3/4” x 3/8", it is unmarked but tests as silver. It is in excellent condition, although the pin is somewhat bent. The pin stem assembly may be a replacement, but if so, it’s quite an old repair...

This lovely brooch, depicting two ginkgo leaves centered by a baroque half-pearl, is almost certainly French. It measures 2-1/2” by 3/8” at the widest points, and tests as 90-100% silver. It is signed “DvMont” – for DuMont? - in fancy script, and has an illegible maker’s mark in a diamond-shaped lozenge. There is also a hallmark which I can’t quite make out. The outline looks like that of the eagle used to denote 18 karat gold, which is odd...

Here is a cheerful bow pin or brooch, made from blue and turquoise plique a jour with twisted wire work running through it. The colors in the photographs may be deceptive, depending on your computer monitor. The enamel over the wire spirals is turquoise, and the rest is a medium blue. Measuring 1-1/4” x 7/8", it weighs .11 oz or 3.1g. On the back it is marked with “800”, and an illegible (maker’s?) mark; it’s possibly Italian. The silver on the front has a gold wash...

Here is a sweet and colorful butterfly realized in plique a jour enamel, silver, and paste stones. Measuring 1-5/8” x 7/8”, and weighing in at 5.6 g, it is just lovely! The butterfly wings are in hues of blue, green, and pink, and it has 2 red stones for eyes. It is set with 20 colorless paste stones, 19 of which have darkened over time. The central stone is much brighter, so it may be a replacement. There are some hairline cracks in the plique enamel, as is typical, also some black spots...

Here we have a very pretty Charles Horner enameled pendant. It sports the Horner signature as well as hallmarks for Chester, 1909-10. The enamel is a lovely mix of green and blue in 3 panels, with a blister pearl mounted at the top and a freshwater pearl dangle. It measures 1-5/8” not including the bale, by 1” at the widest point. It is on a modern 18” sterling chain...

This graceful pin depicts a sprig of lily of the valley, or some other flower. Possibly even a sheaf of wheat. It is stamped Sterling, measures 2-1/16” x 1-1/4" and weighs 7.5g or .26oz. All the stones are present. They appear to bead set, but there might be some glue involved. It is in excellent condition. Art Deco? This striking brooch is just lovely! It has flowers – poppies? – with curved flowing lines, mounted on a mother of pearl oval. The flower is silver plate, and is worn in places (I find that the worn places actually serve as highlights). The mother of pearl is convex. It measures 1-3/4” x 1-3/8”. The pin assembly is mounted on a base metal plaque, and is of the old style. It rattles a little, but is firmly in place...

Here is a sweet sky-blue enamel pendant with blue enamel dropper. It tests as silver, most likely Sterling. It has two shades of light blue enamel on the front, highlighted by silver flourishes and dots. The dropper is also enameled in shaded hues of blue. The enamel continues on the back in sky blue – so lovely! Excluding the bale, it is 1-1/2” long by just under ¾” across...

This pendant is classic Arts & Crafts. Signed “Queensway”, and marked Sterling Silver, it sports beautiful enamel which fades from cobalt blue into a dark green. The dropper is a blister pearl set in silver. It measures 1-3/8” (including the drop, but not the jump ring) x 1-1/8”...

This lovely navette-shaped pin from the Arts & Crafts era measures 2-1/8 x 7/16”. It has a leaf and berry design, centered by a pretty deep purple amethyst. It is marked STERLING, and the pin-stem assembly is original. It has a nice patina. In excellent condition, and circa 1900. This circle pin is a real find! It is composed of 900 silver (sterling is 925), with spiraling double lines of tiny seed pearls alternating with blue stones (likely garnet & glass doublets). The back is engraved with a sinuous design, and has a mark for Pest, Hungary, between 1872 and 1922 - the year The Great Gatsby was written! It measures 1-5/8”, and weighs 15.4g or .54 oz.
