This lady is a charmer, and her costume looks like it’s straight out of the Renaissance. She gazes at a flower, but what is that behind her? Looks like a ships’ wheel, or perhaps a spinning wheel. Marked “SILVER” on the C-clasp, the metal tests 90-100% silver, and she’s a dainty 7/8” in diameter. Illegible maker’s mark. In excellent condition, and circa 1850. NOTE that we will only accept a check for this item...

This lovely depiction of St. Joan of Arc is signed by Unger (U and B intertwined and the words STERLING 925 FINE surrounding them in a circle). She is surrounded by fleur de lys and lilies, as is proper, and is holding a sword. The brooch measures 1-1/8” in diameter, and is in excellent antique condition, with an appropriate patina. Circa 1900. I just did a Google search for this pin, and none were listed, however, Joan Rivers is selling a different Unger pin for $500...

Here is a pretty sterling buckle with a floral motif. The plique is red, 2 different blues, and green. It is signed with a “JK” above another “JK” in a box. It is has marks for London, 1886, and a duty mark. Measuring 3-1/8” x 2-1/4", it weighs 32.7g or 1.16 oz. It’s in quite good condition. The plique has a few hairlines and some bubbles, neither of which is uncommon. The red and blue plique is dark, so it’s not very visible in the photo...

This striking brooch is just lovely! It has flowers – poppies? – with curved flowing lines, mounted on a mother of pearl oval. The flower is silver plate, and is worn in places (I find that the worn places actually serve as highlights). The mother of pearl is convex. It measures 1-3/4” x 1-3/8”. The pin assembly is mounted on a base metal plaque, and is of the old style. It rattles a little, but is firmly in place...

This is an intricate design by Edmond-Henri Becker, well-known French medalist around 1900. The front of this piece shows Joan of Arc in profile, also a shield decorated with a sword, a crown, and 2 fleurs-de-lis. Above her head is a banner saying “1429” and “Jehanne d’Arc”. The back shows a banner with a saint (or possibly the Madonna and Child) with two people praying. Also pictured are mistletoe, and the pommel of a sword...

This intriguing jewel has a saint (holding a key, and with a bird – a dove? - in the background) on one side, and a photo on the other. The person in the photo looks ecclesiastical. It contains a scrap of ribbon, a tiny base metal medal with Mary on one side, saying "Mary conceived without sin”, more Christian imagery on the other, and a wisp of cotton...

Weird but wonderful, and SO Victorian! Here is a grooming chatelaine from some time in the 1800s – very hard to put a more specific age to this. It has a Chinese fish motif at the top, and dangling from that are 3 implements, a tweezers, an ear-cleaning device, and a third implement for cleaning nails. It tests positive for silver, but is unmarked and with a patina consistent with age. It is lacking a belt hook, otherwise in excellent antique condition. The whole thing measures 6-3/4”...
