Roses have been symbolic of love and remembrance for centuries, as well as passion, purity, and happiness. This necklace of roses is so elegant! Measuring 17-5/8”, the delicate chain is adorned by 3 roses, each with leaves below. They are spaced by beautifully decorated chain links, for better draping. The rest of the chain consists of a further 12 fancy links included in the chain. Each fancy link measures 7/16”, and each rose is ¾” x 5/8”. It weighs .15 oz or 4.2 g...

Here is a pair of highly unusual cuff links! Each has a photograph of an elegant lady in a white high-necked blouse with upswept hair. These were clearly worn a lot, based on the patina, but they still look great. The 10k marks are on the back of the fronts only, not on the “torpedo” ends. We didn’t test the torpedoes, as it could make an obvious mark, so they could be gold filled. The fronts measure 7/8” x 5/8”, the torpedoes ½” x 3/8”...

Here is a very pretty and graceful brooch depicting a sprig of lily of the valley (which symbolizes “a return to happiness,” and is frequently used in wedding bouquets). It is marked 925, and tests for silver. Because of the way the stones are set, we can’t test them, but we’re pretty certain they are carnelians. 11 marcasites add sparkle to the whole. There is an illegible maker’s mark. It measures 1” x 5/8" and is in excellent condition. From the 1950’s or earlier, we believe...

This pendant is enameled in two shades of blue, with a pearl dangle. The front is composed of 3 panels of enamel, and the outer ones are in the shape of sweet stylized hearts, in dark blue. The center is a lighter color, and the back is a lovely sky blue. Overall it is in very good condition, though the enamel on the back shows a small amount of wear on the high points. It measures 2” from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pearl. Unmarked. C. 1900...

This gorgeous lavalier sports a light purple amethyst (reputedly good for clarity of mind), framed by rose gold panels which could be seen as Nouveau or Arts & Crafts. It has a pearl dangle with good luster which is interestingly off-round. Measuring 1-5/8” including the pearl but not the ring, by 7/8”. The amethyst measures 3/8” x ¼”. It is marked “9ct” but tests as 10k. It weighs 2.1g and is in excellent antique condition. The chain is 16” and tests as and is marked 14k on the ...

This beautiful pendant has a very Gothic feel to it. It is centered by an amethyst with good color, which measures 9mm x 7mm, and the whole thing measures 1-7/16” x 11/16”. North, south, east and west there are pearl-set trefoils – thus the Gothic feel – plus a dangle with a further pearl-set trefoil, and a larger pearl dangle. It is unmarked, but tests 10k. It is on a 20” yellow gold-filled chain, marked 1/20-12, but the rest of the mark is cut off. In excellent condition. Amethysts ...

This unusual sterling silver and enamel pendant comes out of the Arts & Crafts movement, spearheaded by John Ruskin and William Morris, et al. The enamel colors are associated with the women’s suffrage movement in the UK: green (Give), white (Women the), and (Vote) violet – or at least, that’s the story! The free-standing wire work (so interesting!) interlaces around the body of the piece, and holds the oval of mother of pearl in place. Another unusual aspect is the use of brown enamel. Th...

This very sparkly stunner has 2 big paste stones (7/16”), 2 smaller ones (1/4”), and 8 small accent stones (there should be 9, but one is missing), set in white metal. The whole thing measures 2” x 9/16”. Stamped “Czechoslov” on the back, it is in overall good condition: the stones have a couple chips, and a little abrasion, but the stones are so sparkly it’s hard to spot these. The clasp is bent over a bit, but still works just fine. We believe it’s circa 1920. Please read this...

This eye-catching brush by Gorham Manufacturing Company is meant to look like the top of an old chest, with a strapping and stud motif – very “Steampunk.” The top is monogrammed with a fancy "R". It has the Gorham marks, as well as “1857 C”, “Sterling,” and the scissors mark for 1907. It measures 6” x 1 -3/4" across the top, and is in very good condition. Here is a pretty brush with repousse decorations depicting Art Nouveau lilies on the top, and fancy swirls on the handle. It measures 5-3/4” x 3". It is stamped Sterling, and there are other, illegible, marks. There is a little bit of damage to the silver at the top of the brush, which is shown in - and is actually exaggerated by – the photos. The handle has a plain area on both sides, ready for your monogram. On one side this area has some dings to it. On the other side the photos show cam...

Here is a coral garland necklace consisting of 8 coral drops (Coral was believed to prevent bad luck, and to be an aid to meditation), of graduated lengths and sizes, and a final drop on a draping chain. The three longest drops are on rigid bars. The coral is a lovely deep dark ox-blood red, very hard to capture in photos. The entire chain length is 15-1/4”, and the decorated portion is 4-1/4” x 2-1/8” at the longest point. The chain bears the mark for silver jewels imported into Austro-Hu...

This pretty ring comes out of the era when Edwardian styles were sliding into Art Deco. It is marked “925” for sterling silver, and set with a pretty ruby, birthstone for July. Rubies have been called “the queen of stones and the stone of kings.” The ring has the mellow patina of age, and is size 6. Please read this description and look at the photos very carefully, as we are not responsible for buyer remorse. Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

This lovely and detailed Titanic-era garland necklace features a heart with wings, symbolic of love and openness. The heart has green enamel with orange highlights, and it and the wings are set with seed pearls. Above are gold curlicues, and below is a (tested) diamond dropper. It’s got a faint 10k mark on the back, but tests as 14k. The spring ring is marked 1/20 14k Gold Filled, but the chain tests for 14k, so we assume the spring ring is a replacement. The central design elements measure 1-...
