| Here is a striking snake pin made of black enamel on gold-tone metal. There are 12 clusters of paste stones along the length, as well as a collar of 3 more, plus several to define the snake’s face. It is 3-1/4” long, with no marks. In the Victorian era snakes were thought to represent endless love. Globally they have symbolized eternity, rebirth, healing, passion ….
