We think this garland necklace is just stunning. It’s also rather unusual. The rigid cross piece has a chain running above it, through loops over 5 oval amethysts with excellent color, each set into an inverted heart-shaped framework, and separated from the next by a tiny pearl. Set below each amethyst is a seed pearl, and below the framework are draping chains, the central 5 each having a freshwater pearl dangle. At each end of the bar is an additional little round amethyst, for a total of 7. The central piece is 3” wide, and from the loop atop the central stone to the bottom of the drop is 1-9/16”. Total length is 14-1/2” (we have gold extenders if that is too short). The work is beautifully done, and it is all original except the C clasp. Unmarked, and in excellent condition with some very minor chips to 2 stones. Circa 1905. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks!
