This is a classic Victorian pin/necklace in a pinwheel design, with 9 lovely bright dark purple garnet and glass doublets (standing in for amethysts, probably at a time when real amethysts were very rare and expensive), and lots of seed pearls. It has both a pin stem assembly for use as a brooch, and a ring for a chain. Hallmarked 10k on the clasp. There is a small break in the gold framework, which doesn’t endanger the piece at all, and isn’t noticeable without magnification; otherwise in excellent condition. 1” in diameter. Circa 1880. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.
