| This lovely piece evokes the designs of Archibald Knox, Murrle, Bennett & Co., and their ilk. Measuring 1-3/4” from the top of the bale to the bottom of the drop, and 7/8” wide, it is a noticeable piece. The gold is rosy, and it’s marked “9” and “375” for 9 karat gold, however it tests higher than that. It is centered by a greenish cabochon, and there’s another of a slightly different color in the drop. There is a maker’s mark which consists of what looks like an “H” and another, illegible, letter. It comes with an 18-1/2” long 9 karat chain. Shows signs of age, and of having been worn a lot, but overall in very good shape. Circa 1900. | ||
