| This is an absolutely delightful example of "society silk" embroidery in Kensington stitch which uses layers,directionality and very fine gradations of colors and shades to create classic botanical realism. The design and handwork are excellent! Each flower is so unique. There is a silk cross stitched background pattern in white and champagne as well as a golden colored border on the 2 1/2" flanged hem edge. There are a few broken silk threads and slight color run as seen in photo, and faint storage mark at the side of the border. The numbers 7378 are hand stitched on the back. What an exquisite pillow this would make! Measures 28"x 28 1/2".I'll be happy to provide more photos. | ||
