| Charming toast racks were used in the 1800's always at the table for meals and certainly tea! The left one is expandable and might be German Machine Age. The marks are Ges.gescn and an imprintI can't decipher. The right one is more typical of Victorian racks,with ball feet and ball in handle ring. I haven't found a maker's mark yet. Still highly prized for their original dining accessory, they can also be used for napkins or even on your desk for mail! | ||
