| It's rare to find these wonderful huge platters specifically for serving a whole fish. I admit I had to it use it for a stunning presentation for my guests (sorry, I lost my photos of that!). It was most likely commissioned for a grand hotel or prestigous European family.It is really,really heavy, slight loss of the gold as expected with a mid 1800's piece. You and your guests will delight in this lovely presentation! ( I'll be glad to include the recipe I created for the fish). The ornate monogram is with the letters C, U, F. 23 3/4" long X 9 1/2"wide X 2" deep. The European hotel silver"fish eaters", knives and forks specifically used for eating fish are also available. | ||
