| This delightful figural layover sham/ wall hanging, heralds"Every Morning Without Worry" in Swiss German! It is most typical of the Folk Art of the Alsace, France region, bordered by Switzerland and Germany. In fact, the region has passed back and forth between France and Germany several times, and the dialect is more near Swiss German.Typical of the everyday scenes depicted in this folk art, this very accomplished embroidery depicts sweethearts"greeting" over the wall at the well, with doves flying in attendance! It's bound on 3 sides by vintage trim with embroidered blue dots ,the bottom is selvage.It's a creamy natural cotton muslin w/blue embroidery floss.Never used!
