Japanese limited edition sosaku hanga “kappa-ban” (stencil print) on crumpled hand-made momigami paper by Sadao Watanabe (1913-1996) titled “St. Francis.” The black and white image, set against a light Prussian blue background, depicts St. Francis blessing the birds. Oversized Japanese limited edition copperplate etching and aquatint titled “Tachikui” by Tanaka Ryohei (b. 1933). Pencil-signed, dated 2000, and numbered 55/100 in the lower margin. Paper size: 19 1/2"V x 15 7/8"H (image: 15 1/2"V x 12"H). This etching was never framed and is in excellent condition.
