Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period hexagonal form mao tong (hat stand) with quadrilobed cutouts decorated in underglaze blue on a white porcelain ground with the traditional exotic houses, mountains, ships and figures. A blue band of stylized flowers encircles the top and bottom edges. 11” high x 5 1/4” diameter. Circa 1900. Very good overall condition. This vase is from the private collection of a former American diplomat to Guangzhou and Beijing from 1983-1987.
