1st edition Japanese shin hanga woodblock print titled "Tomonoura Harbour" by Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950) dated Showa 5 (1930). The artist's "jizure" (self-printed) seal is in the upper left margin. The print is brush signed in the image and pencil-signed in the lower right margin. Illustrated in "The Complete Woodblock Prints of Yoshida Hiroshi," Abe Publications, color plate #141. Paper measures 10 7/8"V x just over 16"H (image size about 9 3/4"V x 14 5/8"H). Very good overall condition with full margins. The back is very faintly toned. The print is very lightly sunstruck as indicated by a slight color difference at the bottom of the image and left margin edge where the prior mat had been. There are three areas of tape residue on the back at the top and side margin edges.
