| Large Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period geyao type lidded ginger jar covered overall with a crackle glaze on a white ground with a gray tint. The interior and base are glazed and the glaze extends part way up the inner side of the low flat unglazed foot rim. The foot rim has kiln grit adhering. 9 1/4” high x about 8” diameter. Circa 1900. Very good overall condition. Fine quality invisible restorations were made to two tiny areas of enamel loss on the lid. This vase is from the private collection of a former American diplomat to Guangzhou and Beijing from 1983-1987. | |||||||||||||||
