Chinese late Qing dynasty export porcelain jardinière, or planter, decorated around the circumference in famille rose enamels with an assortment of precious objects set against a white ground. A ruyi head border encircles the exterior rim and a geometric band is above the foot. The canted rim is decorated in an orange-red band. The white glaze extends part way down into the unglazed interior. The base and foot rim are unglazed. There are minor production flaws and there are a several old browned hairline cracks to one area on the rim (see enlargements 8 and 9). 6 5/8” high and 10 ½” diameter. 19th century.
