Chinese Qing dynasty compressed globular form porcelain brush washer covered overall in a rich flambé glaze with a jun-like quality. The base is has an applied bronze wash and the foot rim is unglazed. The edge of the rim is bordered with a thin, geyao type crackled white glaze. There is an old collector’s tag on the base. 19th century. 4 1/8” diameter by 1 1/4” high. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. This piece is from a Sun City, Arizona collection. It was purchased in China in 1945 and has remained in the same family since that time.
