Japanese shin hanga woodblock print by Inuzuka Taisui (active ca. 1920s) titled "Morning Glories" dated 8th month of 1929. First edition impression jointly published by Sakai-Kawaguchi (early seal used between 1929-1931 is at the lower left margin corner). Signed in the image at the lower left in black ink with the artist's red “Inuzuka” seal below. The seals of the carver (Maeda) and printer (Komatsu) are in the left margin. The title ("Asakaho") and date (Showa 4) are in Japanese in the lower margin. Image size: 9 ½”V x 14 ¼”H. Framed with archival materials in a 17 ½”V x 21 ½”H wood frame. Very good overall condition. Inuzuka Taisui produced only a small number of fine quality woodblock prints. The background pattern on this print was produced through the use of the baren.
