Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period blue and white porcelain incense stand or narrow candle holder with heavily weighted bell-form base decorated with bats flying among clouds above waves. A flat circular top with four flowers surrounding a central hole is above a narrow neck decorated with plantain leaves. Late 19th to early 20th century. 6 5/8” high. Very good overall condition. There are tiny burst bubbles, sand grit, and production irregularities along the top edge. From the private collection of a former American ex-patriot to Guangzhou and Beijing from 1983-1987.
