Chinese Qing dynasty painting on paper of a Confucian worthy seated on a chair in a black robe covered with dragons and animals. He holds a green tablet containing his achievements. A calligraphic inscription describing his accomplishments is at the upper left. Newly framed with Plexiglas to facilitate shipping. There is typical wear for a painting of this age with old restorations and damage evident. The painting is mounted to board so no creases or buckling are visible. Frame size: 66”V x 34 1/2”H. 19th century. This painting is from an old Scottsdale, Arizona collection.
