Chinese late Qing to early Republic period porcelain fish bowl decorated in famille rose enamels with two opposing figural cartouches set against a turquoise background with scrolling foliage. Four goldfish swim in the interior. 6” high x 7 1/2” diameter. Late 19th to early 20th century. Very good overall condition with some rubbing of the overglaze pigments evident. There is a faint old brown hairline on the base which might be from the original production. From an old Scottsdale, Arizona collection.
