Chinese late Ming dynasty Zhangzhou (Swatow) porcelain deep dish decorated in underglaze blue on a grayish-white finely crackled ground with a peony roundel at the center and a stylized band at the rim. Typical sand grit to the base. Circa 16th century. 8 7/8” diameter x 1 5/8” high. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. From the Arizona collection of former German expatriates to Indonesia in the 1970s.
