Japanese shin hanga woodblock print by Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991) titled "Rising Moon at Nezu Shrine, Tokyo." Dated in the left margin "4th month of Showa 7" (1932). This image is a later postwar lifetime edition bearing the .6cm circular seal of the publisher Watanabe at the lower left corner of the image. It is not a recent Heisei edition. The artist's red rectangular seal is located at the lower right corner of the image. Paper size: 15 3/8"V x 10 3/4"H (image: 14 1/4"V x 9 3/4"H). Very good overall condition with full margins. No tape, tape stains, thinning or tears. The print is not backed or laid down and the baren marks are clearly visible. The paper is very faintly toned. There are traces of the original paper folder adhering to two back corners. A color illustration of this image can be found on page 13 of the 2002 Shiro Kasamatsu catalogue.
