Authentic Japanese woodblock print depicting the actor Iwai Kumesaburo II portraying a courtesan in a pleasure boat in a scene from the kabuki theater by Kuniyasu (1794-1832). "Kiwame" seal. Published by Kinkodo circa 1830. Paper size: 13 5/8"V x 9 1/2"H. Probably trimmed slightly. Panel from a triptych. Good overall condition with no tape stains, toning or tears. The baren marks and image are clearly visible on the back. Not backed. Thinned in areas. Bottom left corner worn. Binding holes along right side and one tiny hole at the top right corner. Faint discoloration on the courtesan's cheek. There are pencil notations to the back.
