Authentic Japanese Edo period woodblock print depicting a beauty holding a baby by Toyokuni III (also known as Kunisada) dated 1849-1851. Published by Sanoya Kihei (Sanoki). Signed "Ichiyosai Toyokuni ga." Paper size 14 1/4"H x 9 3/4"H. Good overall condition with no tape stains, tears, toning, thinning, or holes. The baren marks and image are clearly visible on the back. Not backed. Probably slightly trimmed and the right edge is uneven. Light foxing visible in the background. There is fading evident by a line of color change at the top and right edges of the print where the prior matting ended. Possibly a triptych panel from the series "Edo Murasaki Azuma no Utsushi-e" (Eastern Magic Lantern Slides in Edo Purple).
