| Pair of old Chinese hardwood horseshoe back armchairs nicely crafted with traditional joinery and including custom-made blue silk cushions. Estimated to date from the mid-20th century. 40 ½”H (seat back), 19 ¾”H (seat); 23 ¾”W x 18”D. Very heavy and solidly made chairs in very good overall condition. There is some shrinkage evident in the seats and back slat. From the private collection of American expatriates who lived in Hong Kong in the 1970s and 1980s.
