In the centre a superb decoration of a flowering peony tree growing from rockwork near a fence with a Lingzhi. Tankard. Provenance: China. Dating: Qianlong period (1736-1795). A wonderful tankard on a footring with a glazed base, Imari decorated in underglaze blue, iron-red and gold. The cylindrical sides are decorated with two panels containing a flowering peony tree. In between the panels a whorl decoration containing blooming flowers. Saucer. Provenance: China. Dating: Late Kangxi period (1662-1722) early Yongzheng period (1723-1735). A saucer on a footring with a straight rim and a glazed base, decorated in underglaze blue. In the centre a "Courting Cranes" decoration with a crane in a garden looking to the sky where a bird displays while in flight. Round the interior rim a stylized laurel pattern band.
