Southeast China Swatow Lotus leaves decorated Jar
Jar, Provenance: (Southeast) China, Swatow. Dating: The end of the 16th century / first half 17th century. Jar on a flat, unglazed, base decorated in underglaze blue. On the waist decorated with four stylized lotus leaves separated by clusters of the character ta (great). Around the shoulder a band of lotus leaves. Dimensions: Height: 57 mm (2,24 inch), Diameter: 55 mm (2.17 inch), Diameter of footring: 35 mm (1.38 inch), Diameter of mouth: 20 mm (0.79 inch), Condition: Two very tiny fleabites to the rim.
