| Covered box. Provenance: (Southeast) China, Swatow. Dating: The end of the 16th century / first half 17th century. A covered box on a footring with a glazed base, decorated in underglaze blue. On the exterior wall of the box a decoration of four chrysanthemums enclosed by scrolls of leaves. The cover is decorated with a central chrysanthemum surrounded by four other chrysanthemums enclosed by scrolls of leaves. On the base a paper label on which a previous owner wrote "T5 13.". Dimensions: Height: 56 mm (2,21 inch), Diameter: 70 mm (2.76 inch), Diameter of footring: 39 mm (1.54 inch). Condition: A small glaze chip to the rim of the cover | ||
