Saucer. Provenance: China. Dating: Qianlong period (1736-1795). Saucer on footring with a glazed base and a straight rim, decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze iron-red, gold and black. Finely decorated in the centre with flying butterfly and a standing "Long Eliza" figure on a terrace near a fence with a flower basket containing flowering plants. The trellis pattern rim is reserved with cartouches enclosing a little dancing boy, in between the cartouches flowering branches and two flying birds. The reverse is undecorated. Dimensions: Height: 24 mm (0.95 inch), Diameter: 102 mm (4.02 inch), Diameter of footring: 50 mm (1.97 inch). Condition: A short hairline and a few tiny fleabites to the rim.
