Bowl. Provenance: China. Vung Tau Cargo sale, Christie's Amsterdam, 7 and 8 April 1992. Dating: Kangxi period (1662-1722), 1690. Bowl on a footring with a flattened rim and a unglazed base, a greenish celadon type glaze, decorated in underglaze blue. Decorated on the bottom with a character in a circle, the exterior wall is decorated with four different characters. The bowl has the two original Christie's "Vung Tau Cargo" sale labels showing it has been part of lot 963, one of 200 bowls. Dimensions: Height: 58 mm (2.28 inch), Diameter: 115 mm (4.53 inch), Diameter of footring: 40 mm (1.58 inch). Condition: Perfect. Reference; C.J.A. Jörg / M.
