Portrait of Victor Harrington as a young boy, wearing a dark blue coate with bouffant sleeves and gold buttons, wide white circular collar. Beyond an intense forest landscape. Gilt-metal frame with foliate border. Inscribed on the reverse Victor/ Harrington 1840/ LECOURT J. Oval, 42mm (1 5/8in) high J. Lecourt worked in Versailles as a miniaturist and lived there at 37, Ave de St. Clour, from thee he sent miniatures to the Salon de Paris between 1804 - 1819.|
