| Scottish School, c. 1840. Water color on card. Portrait of a very pretty young woman, with dark hair and brown eyes, wearing a floral, off the shoulder gown, with pink ribbon at the bodice,and a gilt circlet around her head. Landscape background. Written to reverse, “July 1842”. Oval, 8 cms. diameter (3 inches). With rectangular frame, 20 cms. X 18 cms. (8 inches X 7 inches). Good condition. | ||||||||
