Collectors of vintage costume jewelry know this piece, and they also know that it is not easy to find in good condition - quite a rarity in my experience. It appears in a couple of books - one that I can put my hands on right now is Kathy Flood's "Costume Jewelry Figurals" - p. 220. It is whimsical - looks like a little girl peeking over a fence. She is a cutie with big eyes and a pink bonnet. The brooch is about 2" each way...

This is a 24" long Trifari Bead necklace. If you look closely, you can see that the beads are separated with gold colored rondells, and that they are varied shapes, mostly rounds and cubes. It closes with a spring ring clasp. The necklace is in excellent condition and it has a metal tag, as shown.

This is a very old brooch - Art Deco from the time after the opening of King Tut's tomb when all things Egyptian were all the rage. It is 3" x 1" and has three dangles. I don't know what the metal is - I thought brass, but when I put a bit of polish on it, it almost looked like silver, which probably means that whatever colored the metal underneath was a silver color, because it definitely is not sterling. The scarabs are glass or ceeramic of some kind...

This is a brightly colored faceted rhinestone dress clip that I think would go with just about everything. It is round and 2" in diameter. The metal work surrounding the rhinestones is all gold colored filigree - very pretty. The clip is tight on the back, and the whole thing is in excellent condition and unmarked.

Many collectors will recognize this brooch as it is in many of the collector's books. It was originally an Alfred Philippe design, although this is part of Trifari Company's "retro collection" that revisited designs from 1940, but were made about 1965. The oyster sea shell has green enameled coral and imitation pearl bubbles. It is made of a gold colored metal base, and measures about 1 5/8" x 2". It is hallmarked Trifari with Crown, C. It is in mint condition...

This is a very pretty set that has a lot of colors depending upon the light. The brooch is domed and it is 2" x 1 1/2". There are some plain reddish, purple stones but the majority of the stones are aurora borealis coated. The metal is a dark gold color, and the center stone on the brooch almost looks to be a saphiret as it throws off blue and pink depending upon the light. The matching earrings are clips and each one measures 3/4" x 1"...

I think this is a darling little bit of whimsey to cheer everyone up after the holidays. It is a silver metal rhinestone encrusted old auto. The rhinestones are black and clear. It measures 2 1/2" x 1 /3/4". It is just a fun old pin, in good condition, with no maker's mark.

This is a large and lovely brooch - 3" long by 1 1/2" wide. It is a leaf with a featherly effect attached. The large leaf has green and rust enamel sides divided by a row of sparkling clear rhinestones. The feathery part is all rust enamel and it also has a row of clear rhinestones dividing it. The metal is gold toned. The brooch is in excellent condition with no loss of enamel or of stones, and it is marked Hattie Carnegie, as shown.

This is a 22" chain necklace with a wonderful fancy colorful round pendant attached. One can always tell the West German fancy metalwork. It is a gold color and the one flat ring next to the Jump ring catch says West Germany - too small for my camera to capture, but it's there. The pendant is 2" in diameter, and has bright colored rhinestones and some small faux pearls for accents. It is really lovely when worn. The necklace is in excellent condion with no problems and is marked, as I said.

This is one of those pins that always makes me smile and want to dance with her. This princess is done in gold toned metal with a matte black face, and an elaborate royal headdress studded with rhinestones and imitation pearls. She is 2 3/4" tall. The brooch is in good condition with no problems and marked PAM, as shown.

I think this is one of the prettier thermoset necklaces that I have seen because of the rhinestone triangles between the links. They really set off the red and gold. The necklace is a choker that extends up to 17", with the pattern of links and rhinestones all around the front and up the sides - about 9" of the length of the necklace. The matching earrings are clips and each one i 1 1/4" long. The set is in very good condition and it is not marked.

This is a very pretty choker necklace - 3 strands of sparkling beads. With the extender they can extend to 18". The yellow and orange beads are faceted and separated by tiny black beads. The gold beads are regular orange beads with a pierced gold colored covering. The clasp and metal parts on the necklace are gold colored. The beads are in very good condition, and they are not marked.

This set is new old stock - part of a number of pieces I purchased from the widow of a jeweler - pieces she had kept from when they closed the store in the early 1970s. The necklace is 4 strands of various sizes and shapes of topaz and tan striated beads. The longest strand is 16" long and the 4 strands make it 1" wide. It has a push in clasp, and the metal is gold toned...

This is a wonderful French Galalith Brooch depicting the famous, beloved, sad clown Pierrot, who has been around on French stages, in poetry and literature,as well as in the visual arts since sometime in the 17th Century. This pin is a bit taller than 2 1/2" and is about 1" wide. I believe that it dates from the late 1940s, but it could be older than that...

This is a pretty old Art Deco beacelet. The links are sterling, and there are three large dark blue glass stones set among the fancy chased sterling links. The closure is a spring ring, and proably not original to the bracelet. However, the link the spring ring fits into is original and says Czechoslavak and has some numbers, and or letters, that I can't read. The bracelet is 7 1/4" long by 1/2" wide, and it is in very good condition with no problems.

These two adorable Dutch boy and girl clips are Adolph Katz designs patented in 1945. They are Sterling Vermeil and are decorated with prong set blue and red bright rhinestones. Their costumes are completed with some pave set clear rhinestones on their collars and hats. Each clip is approximately 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" wide. Their cnditions are excellent - no breaks in the Vermeil, and the clips are tight and work well. They are both marked with the Coro Pegasus and Sterling.

I don't think one sees much of this kind of bangle bracelet from Sandor. We are all used to their enameled flower pins, and things like that, but this is a rarity - a wide well made gold colored fancy bangle set all around the front with faux turquoise cabochons, ruby red glass stones in a marquise shape and clear and cabochon turquoise colored smaller stones. It is really gorgeous, and although the jewels don't go all the way around, the fancy metalwork does...

This is a large wooden brooch measuring 3" by 2 1/2". I've seen it referred to as a man or as a woman - thus, the Sultan or Sultana designation. I don't know but it is very pretty, large enough to be noticed, and quite unusual. The hair is painted brown and the face is gilded - fairly typical of these kinds of pins, but most don't have the jewels in the headpiece. They are multicolored and very sparkling...
