This is a lovely item probably from the 1950s. It is cylindricalin shape - about 1 1/4 x 11/2" each way, and it is 3 1/2"long. The metal is gold colored and the top is enameled black with a golden leaf design centered with dark topaz rhinestones. It has all of the wonderful quality of the Kigu of London products like cigarette cases, compacts, etc. were known for. I really don't think the case has ever been used...

This is a beautiful, hand painted, artist signed 1920-1930's era cigarette case. The case is hinged, and the front and back are mother-of-pearl, probably celluloid panels, set in silver toned metal. The case features a hand painted flapper girl holding a burning cigarette in her hand, and looking quite confident with her hand on her hip. It is signed by the artist, but the name is hard to make out as part of it is worn off. It looks like Ertios, but I am not sure...

I believe it is made of celluloid with thin wood or metal in between to make it stronger, but it may be totally celluloid. It measures 2 1/8" x 3 3/4." It opens from the top and there is a bit of wear near the hinges. The flapper is painted on both sides, and there are three green rhinestones on her necklace, and a red one on the tip of her cigarette...

I have never seen another combination case quite like this one. It is enameled in a delicate peach color with white and chrome trim in a very art deco design. It is 5 3/4" x 2 1/4" and the longer side is for cigarettes, and the shorter one is a compact that still has powder and a mirror, but no powder puff. Both sides are hinged, and the piece is thin, I suppose so that it would fit into a lady's purse. It was found in an old chamois leather case that may or may not be original to the piece...
