| This is a very unusual piece from the Art Deco Period when everyone used a compact. This one is made to look like a decorated envelope in black enameling and gold toned metal. The seal is a mother of pearl half button. The compact is not large - it is 2 3/4" x 1 1/2". The inside is in excellent condition - still has the little puff, but no powder and the silvering on the mirror has a few small blotches such as one would expect with something this old. It has no marks of origin. | |||||||
