| This is a large, heavy, and very detailed Sterling Silver Butterfly, and the body is gold plated, or Vermeil. The dimensions are about 2 1/2" by 2 1/2". The wings are detailed Sterling metal, and one can almost feel the movement of the butterfly by looking at it. The brooch is marked 925 Sterling and as hard as I tried, I could not get a clear picture of that mark since it is under the pin on the back. The pin has a simple C type closure.
