Victorian Pair of Rose Gold Filled Wedding Bracelets
Stories have it that wedding or marriage bracelets were a special gift for Victorian brides. They usually came in a fancy presentation box and the story goes that the girl would wear one during her engagement, and then wear one on each arm the day she was married. I don't know if that is true or not, but it makes a good story! This is a beautiful pair of Victorian Wedding or Marriage Bracelets. They are by pass bracelets, done in a rose gold color. The are about 1/8" in width all the way around and the tops are etruscan style with the decorated balls and the plain ones. These open from the top where there is a hidden peg between those small balls on top. You just pull them apart at that point, so that you can put them on. Like many Victorian bracelets, these are small. Inside diameters closed are about 2 1/8" x 1 3/4", so they will not fit a large boned person. They are in excellent condition with no problems and no marks.
