This is a beautiful Art Nouveau silver and enamel butterfly necklace made by the reknowned Charles Horner of Halifax. The suspender and pendant are enamelled in stunning iridescent shades of pink with hints of gold and a green enamel body. The butterfly wings have lovely veining showing underneath the enamel. All of the necklace is in super condition with no damage, scratches or repairs to any of the enamel.
The necklace is fully hallmarked for silver, Chester and date letter l for 1911 plus the maker's initials C H. The main pendant measures 1.1 ins across. From the circular suspender to the bottom of the butterfly is 2.0 ins. The silver chain is 20 ins long.
This wonderful necklace really catches the light when worn. It will be sent in a leatherette, satin and velvet lined gift box and would make a great gift.
