This is one of a scarce 1942 issue of Native American fur clips - that typically would be one-half of a duette - the other clip being the male. However, there were some that were made to wear independently and one can usually see the difference if placed side by side. This one has always been a single. The clip is made of rhodium finished pot metal, and the Indian maiden has clear rhinestones on the part of her headband that shows in front, and she is very colorful and beautiful. She is also large - 3 1/2" from top to bottom. This one is in excellent condition and is signed Coro in scrip just under the feathers in the back.
