Nepalese Statue of Buddhist Deity: Vajradhara
Usually portrayed with his arms crossed, Vajradhara holds a bell in his left hand and a vajra in his right.

This statue probably dates back to the late nineteenth or early twentieth century and originates in the Kathmandu valley. Not of the finest quality, statues like this would have belonged to more humble members of society who could not afford larger or more richly decorated statues. Nevertheless it would have been kept in the family shrine and been just as revered as the most ornate statue.
