This is a very fine bronze Pi from the Zhou period in ancient China. Judging from the size and overall characteristics of the piece it may date to as early as the Spring and Autumn period (circa 770 BC). It measures 32 cm in length and weighs an impressive 260 grams. It has very fine bevels on the blade. It has a three-level midrib that is 0.9 cm thick in the center. The hilt has a single perforation for hafting to a pole or handle. This is a solid, heavy piece with no signs of repair. Don't miss this chance to add it to your collection!
