Oaxaca, Mexico Folkart Ash Rubbed Mask Carvings
These two unusual large mask carvings have been created by the very talented Oaxacan Tribus Mixe group. The masks are finished with rubbed ash, with very detailed features. #55-1 has a snake in the center of the head and #55-2 has an iguana in the center of the head. Very unusual carvings. Approximate dimensions: #55-1 Snake: 19"Long x 19" Wide x 8-1/2" Deep; #55-2 Iguana: 18-1/2" Long x 19" Wide x 6" Deep.
