Oaxaca, Mexico Folkart Anteater Carving
Armando Jimenez, a member of the well-known Jimenez family of Oaxacan carvers, has created this highly stylized flat-legged anteater. The carving is black, with a white back, and the body is accented with black and white lines - - Jimenez' signature style. The red eyes are accented with black, yellow and pink, and its toenails are pink. The requisite tongue is red. Approximate dimensions: 24" Long x 8" Wide x 9" High. A wonderful addition for collectors of the unusual.
